The Dogs Need Rabies Shots

The time of year has come when the puppies need to get their yearly rabies shots and to be honest it takes some time to get everything situated. With there being so many of them our veterinarian normally comes to the house to do it for us but i’m not sure he’ll be able to do it this year. But it is required by law to have it done by a certain time so i’ll just have to figure it out. But this year the reminder thing came with a warning that the rabies shots have been causing a lot of pets to become very sick or die. Which doesn’t make me feel very comfortable.

I’ve also been reading that regular vaccination of puppies can be harmful to them so i’m not sure if we’re going to do that this year as well. Maybe once every other year or so.

But being that it’s tick season and we found one on Brutus i’m a little worried…

Such is life as a puppy dog dad.

What are your thoughts about vaccinations on puppies? Good? Bad? Do it? Don’t do it.
